About this Event

How has your organisation coped with extreme weather events in the last year? How have global events impacted how you operate locally?

Understanding and preparing for potential climate risks will help your organisation adapt and thrive through a changing climate and the related impacts on business.

Come along to this Climate Action Breakfast for an introduction to climate resilience and some of the risks for businesses, as well as real-life examples of steps you can take to protect your organisation from climate shocks and build resilience into your net zero plans.

Speakers include:

  • Liz Parkes, Deputy Director Climate Change and Business Services at the Environment Agency.
  • Ben Smith, Associate Director, Climate Resilience at Atkins.

By attending you will:

  • Improve your understanding of what climate resilience is and why it is important alongside reducing carbon emissions.
  • Increase your understanding of how climate change will impact on business activity and what steps can be taken to mitigate this.
  • Feel enabled to make informed decisions on how to make your organisation more climate resilient.
