Hats Funny Comedy returns to Kingscliffe social club!!! Following on from its successful launch, we are returning with an even more incredible line up that could and should be billed as a triple headliner.Opening the show is Northamptonshire based comedian, Andrew Bird. A regular headliner at every comedy club in the country, Andrew appeared on “The Russell Howard Hour” and supported Russell on tour including Bristol’s Ashton Gate Football stadium and six shows at The London Palladium. He’s also supported Rhod Gilbert, Rob Brydon, America’s Brian Regan and Michelle Wolfe on their only London shows and Michael McIntyre on an entire arena tour including Wembley and the O2. He’s written on the TV shows Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Andrew is also one of only seven comedians to perform for Banksy at Dismal Land.
After the first interval, you will then be treated to an appearance from the incredibly funny Dawn Bailey. Known for her relatable humor and down-to-earth comedic style, Dawn draws from her own life experiences, she delivers sharp observations with warmth and wit, making her a crowd favorite. Dawn’s engaging stage presence and authentic storytelling have earned her a growing fanbase on the comedy circuit.
Then its the turn of comedian, actor and presenter, Mike Gunn. Mike's history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. A misspent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural choice for a career in laughter”. He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likable and funny. His reputation for being a bit unfriendly, a touch dark and even morose is really not true. In real life he’s loving, warm and philanthropic. Just a bit misunderstood. He has performed on Michael McIntyre's comedy roadshow and starred in 10 episodes of Al Murray's "Time gentleman please".
Your MC is one of the hottest talents in the comedy circuit. Eddy Midgley is wowing audiences up and down the land, and his most recent accolade is winning Hot Water Comedy club's comedian of the year award.
