In-person CPD Training for Counsellors & Psychotherapists
Join us at Chapter Arts Centre for a practical and interactive training day on working with clients online. Whether you are just starting to see clients virtually or looking to develop and expand your clinical practice, this event will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to work safely, ethically, and effectively in the digital space.
We’ll explore:
• Key ethical considerations for online therapy
• Best practice for confidentiality, boundaries, and consent
• Practical tools and strategies for engaging clients on screen
• How to adapt your therapeutic presence to the online room

Building the Online Frame
Info: We’ll cover how to set a clear frame for online therapy, from first contact and contracting through to confidentiality, ethics, and technical security. Attention will also be given to the therapist’s professional presence online, including boundaries, digital footprint, and insurance.

Info: This session explores what presence means in online therapy and how to cultivate connection when cues are limited. We’ll consider ways to strengthen attunement, containment, and immediacy across distance.

Challenges, Enactments & Integration
Info: This session addresses common online challenges such as disinhibition, ruptures, and third-party interruptions. Through case vignettes, we’ll explore how to respond constructively and bring together the day’s learning into a safe, relational approach.
