Cleveland Night-time Economy Safety Forum 2025
Date: 29th January 2025, 9AM-5PM
Location: Legends Lounge, Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough, UK
Welcome to the Cleveland Night-time Economy Safety Forum, hosted by Cleveland Unit for the Reduction of Violence (CURV)
Join Police and Crime Commissioner Matt Storey for an exciting in-person event, hosted by Head of CURV John Holden, where we'll discuss all things related to safety in the night-time economy (NTE) - particularly the prevention of violent incidents.
We look forward to building on the success of last year's event and recognising the good practice occurring to help improve safety in our night time economy.
This is a chance to bring NTE stakeholders together to discuss and debate positive changes made as well as some of the more immediate challenges faced Cleveland-wide.
This informative event will include:
- A summary of the Middlesbrough NTE campaign so far;
- Training from Barnardo’s on vulnerability in the night time economy;
- Find out how Darlington achieved Purple Flag Status;
- Hear from Independent Voices on navigating the NTE with a disability;
- Lunch and refreshments.
We encourage anyone working within the NTE in Hartlepool, Stockton (including Norton and Yarm), Middlesbrough and Redcar & East Cleveland to attend. This includes bar/pub staff, security staff, taxi drivers, takeaway owners and night-time safety volunteers.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to reflect, debate and share ideas and best practices in developing, educating and building towards a safer and successful night time economy across the whole of Cleveland in the future!
