About this Event
This is the rainy season of the year – which makes it perfect for this trek. This isn’t a tour for the faint-hearted. It is no secret that Clementi Forest Trail is always wet and muddy – no matter the season. In the dry, this route is still wet and muddy.
During the rainy season, it is “lagi” more wet, and “LAGI” more muddy, – meaning it will be a full battle with the elements from the weather. I promise you a very scenic tour if it should rain. The mud mixed with the rain is just part of the fun! The slosh is (supposedly) part of the USP! The pitter patter from the rains will mean the jungle around us will come alive.
If it doesn’t rain, it will be just another day, meaning it is only wet and muddy. I need you to come with a positive mindset, otherwise, this tour will have no meaning for you. While at it, bear in mind that in due time, this terrain you are fighting will soon cease to exist – as it is likely to become another part of our HDB residential estate.
Meet Uncle Chris at 8.30am on the 8th December 2024 at King Albert MRT, Exit A, street level. I will need you to be fit and agile - for we may be required to hop over little creeks and brooks, and sometimes crawl under or over fallen twigs and logs. You must come in good proper trekking footwear, and not “that pair which you are going to use and throw” – they won’t survive this terrain.
