On the 14 November 2025, the Portfolio Holder for Housing, Infrastructure and Transport considered a public report about the proposed bus lane on Cleethorpe Road. During the meeting, the Portfolio Holder, Cllr Stewart Swinburn, deferred the proposed Traffic Regulation Orders to allow for further public engagement to take place with residents and business owners.
The Council will be holding two drop-in sessions at the YMCA which residents and businesses are welcome to attend. During the drop in sessions Council Officers will provide further information relating to the proposed bus lane on Cleethorpe Road, and there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and comment on the proposal. To ensure all residents and businesses have the opportunity to comment on the proposed bus lane, the Council are limiting each session to 45 minutes, and a maximum of two attendees per session.
Both drop-in sessions will take place between 10am – 8pm at the YMCA, 21 Freeman St, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, DN32 7AB on the following dates:

· Wednesday 28 January 2026
