The Cleehill Clatter is the inaugural Midlands MBO event from Cleehill village and will kick-off the 2025 calendar. The event itself, nestled in the Shropshire Hills AONB 5 miles outside the medieval market town of Ludlow guarantees to give riders a highly varied 3 hours of orienteering. The map area will cover sections of Titterstone Clee, Brown Clee and Catherton Common; an area steeped in history from medieval hill forts to more recent remnants of the industrial revolution all slowly being recaptured by nature inhabiting this wild landscape.
Checkpoints will be dispersed across this open landscape to afford riders the choice between more technical mountain biking, gravel or quiet country lanes - regardless of your choice expect plenty of climbing!
All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Shropshire Wildlife Trust who manage and maintain a large proportion of the event area.
As a return for MBO Score to the area I hope this event can attract many new faces, if you have any queries please head to the Midlands MBO Facebook group where there will be a specific page for the event.
Registration, start/finish from the village hall. Refreshments will also be provided after the event.
The map will be OS 1:50 000, provided on-day along with your dibber. Annotated blank maps will also be on display in the hall.
Parking at the village hall is limited, however ample parking can be found at the top (eastern) side of the village adjacent to the viewpoint or on the quarry access road.
