TEACHINGS:
Kushok will be sharing wisdom from the classic text “The Jewels of the Aryas,” a mind training (Lojong) text intended to assist practitioners in transforming adversity into spiritual practice, with the intention of developing great compassion. A copy of the text will be provided to all registrants. Kushok will also provide guidance and advice for meditation practice as well as answer questions.
OPTIONAL YOGA SESSIONS:
Yoga sessions are shared in a supportive way that is inclusive whether you are a seasoned practitioner or if this is your very first class. Movements will be done on the floor on your mat, but modifications will be given for those wishing to stay in chairs. The morning session will consist of gentle stretches, breath practices, and warming up the joints to aid in releasing tightness and creating both stability and range of motion in the body – preparing you for periods of sitting in meditation and learning sessions. The evening session will also be a very gentle practice, an unwinding of the day, calming the nervous system and preparing the body to ease into sleep.
We look forward to sharing this meaningful time together. If you have any questions or need assistance with registration, please reach out to our office.
With warmest wishes,
Kari Stange & Gillian Patton
