2nd Annual Clearwater Classic: Baddest on the Beach!
We are very excited to have everyone come visit the beautiful Sunshine State of Florida at Americas #1 rated Beach on February 1st, 2025! There will be more details and information added and updated here on this Iron Podium page as we go.

RULES MEETING:
9AM SHARP UNDER EVENT PAVILION WHERE ATHLETES WILL WARM UP AND SET UP PERSONAL SPACE!
SPECTATOR ADMISSION:
$5 ENTRY FOR SPECTATORS (must wear wristband at all times)
THERE IS A VIP SEATED SECTION DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE EVENT. WRISTBANDS BE GIVEN OUT PLUS WATER BOTTLES & BUCKED UP ENERGY DRINKS INCLUDED. $20 FOR VIP TICKETS ONLY 30 AVAILABLE.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
All entries must be submitted by Sunday, January 26th, 2025, at 11:59PM. Iron Podium is the only form of entry. Order of entry does matter for 1st event advantage. No refunds will be issued.
ALL ATHLETES MUST OBTAIN USS MEMBERSHIP EITHER AT REGISTRATION OR AT CHECK IN. CAN NOT COMPETE WITHOUT MEMEBERSHIP!
National Qualifier
Podium Finishers qualify for Nationals!
1st Place Novice Only Qualify for Nationals!
EVENT RULES: *Subject to change - all current information listed here & updated if there are changes.
FOR ALL EVENTS:
Competition shirt must be worn at all times!
No Strongman Corp. Shirt or Grip Shirt!!!
No bare feet (must have at least socks on)
No tacky or sticky substance! (Except Stones)
No gloves (EXCEPT FINGAL FINGERS)
No build up belts (only one hard and one soft)
NO DEADLIFT SUITS OR BRIEFS!
Any athlete who leaks any body fluids (blood, urine, vomit, etc.) on the competition field must help clean it up!
There will be 3 to 6 lanes per event!
MEDALS/TROPHIES + GIFTS TO TOP 3 PODIUM FINISHERS PER CLASS
I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO COMBINE CLASSES IF NECESSARY!
EVENT 1: YOKE RUN & SANDBAG MEDLEY
Time: 60sec.
Scoring: Fastest Time
Athletes will begin under yoke.
On judge’s command athlete will carry yoke 50ft, front of yoke must cross line.
Athlete will run back to pick up sandbag.
Any way of carrying sandbag is accepted i.e. front carry or to shoulder.
All supporting equipment allowed- NO SUITS! NO TACKY
Grip shirt allowed!
EVENT 2: FINGAL FINGERS
Time: 60sec.
Scoring: Fastest Time
Athlete will start in front of 1st finger.
On judge’s command, athlete will attempt to flip 1st finger.
Repeat with the 2nd and 3rd finger each finger will be in ascending order.
All supporting equipment allowed- NO SUITS! NO TACKY
No grip shirts!
EVENT 3: AXLE WAGON WHEEL DEADLIFT
Time: 60sec.
Scoring: Fastest Time & # of Lifts
Athletes will start strapped into axle bar!
On judge’s command athlete will lift bar.
With successful lift athletes will continue to as many reps as possible.
NO TOUCH AND GO!
THERE WILL BE UP AND DOWN COMMAND!
All supporting equipment allowed- NO SUITS! NO TACKY
EVENT 4: SANDBAG TO SHOULDER
Time: 60sec.
Scoring: Reps
On judge’s command athlete will clean and shoulder Cerberus sandbag.
Must wait for down command.
Repeat as many reps as possible in 60sec.
All supporting equipment allowed- NO SUITS! NO TACKY
No Grip Shirts!
EVENT 5: HEAD TO HEAD STONE OVER BAR
Time: 10sec. per stone
Scoring: 1st out gets 1 rep; 2nd out gets 2 reps and so on....
Athlete will order from last place to 1st place.
Last place and 2nd to last place will go 1st.
Each athlete will have 10sec. to load stone over bar.
If athlete fails to load stone in allotted time athlete will drop out and next in line will take place.
Last athlete standing wins event.
All supporting equipment allowed- NO SUITS!
Yoke Height 46” for females & 54” for males
Tacky allowed!
Tacky removal area will be under ATHLETE PAVILION ONLY. Tacky will not be removed at any other location.
