FBJ is joining with City of Jackson organizations and other churches (including Broadmoor and Pinelake) to clean the entrance corridors to Downtown Jackson: the High Street and Pearl Street exits from I-55.REGISTER HERE: https://fbj.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3190874
The official time frame is 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., but depending on number of volunteers, we may finish early.
This is a great opportunity for families or Sunday School classes to serve together as we bring Joy to Jackson.
Please Bring:
Work clothes
Gloves
Blowers/W**d-eaters if you are comfortable using them
Everything else will be provided.
Additional Details will be provided as to where the volunteer teams will stage and how the work will be organized.
Abourt CleanJXN
The CleanJXN Initiative is an effort by interested civic organizations, businesses, churches, ministries, and municipal leaders to build a strong community effort to improve the physical reality of Jackson. This is a cooperative volunteer effort.
The first effort on October 18 will be focused on the four principal “gateways: into the city from I-55.
Our church has the opportunity to participate with groups from Broadmoor Baptist Church, Pinelake, and several waste management companies. We will be concentrating on High Street and Pearl Street/Pascagoula Street entrances from I-55.
