Clean the Queen: Charlotte’s Citywide Cleanup & Celebration
Clean the Queen is an annual, week-long volunteer event dedicated to making Charlotte cleaner, greener, and more sustainable. Every year, hundreds of residents, businesses, and community groups come together to remove litter, sort materials for reuse, and take action for a circular, waste-free city.
How It Works
Five Days of Volunteering (April 21 – 25, 2025) – Join one of our daily volunteer sessions and help:
Clean up Charlotte’s streets, parks, and waterways – We partner with Charlotte Solid Waste and Keep Charlotte Beautiful
Help craft upcycled sound panels and other sustainable projects
Groups can enhance their experience with optional breakfast, lunch, or happy hour add-ons.
Friday, April 25 – Drop-Off Day – Businesses and individuals can donate excess design samples to be redistributed and repurposed, keeping valuable materials out of the landfill.
