Join us at Big Couch Theater, 12/14/24 at 9AM for William Kean's 'Clean Comedy Workshop!
Having trouble writing comedy that isn't sexual, polarizing, or centered around the latest global tragedy? This is the workshop for you! You'll learn the most common reasons people fall into dirty comedy habits and the professional benefits of at least having some clean material in your repertoire. Additionally, everyone will be led through exercises that help convert dirty material into cheeky, more family-friendly versions, as well as techniques for creating cleaner comedy in general without feeling like you've gone full "Golly Gee Willikers" mode.
About William Kean
William Kean has performed comedy almost his entire life. He has a BFA in Theater from NYU: Tisch. He toured the country with Improv4Kids, the Coast2Coast Comedy Tour, and FaceOffUnlimited. For the past decade he’s been a cast member of NYC’s live Japanese Game Show BATSU! as well and runs their standup show Laughter Party. In his private teaching practice, he currently coaches comedians around the world (16 states and 8 countries at the time of writing). And some of his work included helping Chase O’Donnell with her set “People Pleasure” which was put on both NPR and NYT’s “Best Comedy Albums of 2023” lists.
