At CLC’s Gymnastics Academy, our mission is to guide athletes on a transformative journey, using gymnastics as a core tool to enhance fluidity, skill and performance in not only gymnastics but across all sports. We empower individuals to achieve their fitness goals through personalized training and unwavering support, ensuring each athlete confidently and safely attains their highest potential.
MEET THE COACHES

Coach Kevin Tiess - Head Coach.
Competitive & Recreational

Coach Kevin has over 30 years of experience in coaching gymnastics. He began coaching at the age of 14 and became a USAG-certified team coach at 18 during the Olympic Trials in Boston, where he worked at a family gymnastics school. Throughout his career, Coach Kevin has collaborated with Olympic coaches and top-tier college trainers, helping produce numerous state and regional championship teams. Many of his athletes have earned Ivy League scholarships, received prestigious awards, and gained national recognition, going on to become successful adults with lots of fun, happy memories. Coach Kevin’s mission is to cultivate a positive, growth-oriented environment and establish a new gymnastics legacy here on Kauai.

Coach Christina Rytting - Assistant Head Coach.

Competitive & Recreational

Coach Christina began her coaching career in early 2024. After noticing her own child’s lack of progress in gymnastics, she teamed up with Coach Kevin and became his understudy, learning the finer details of skills, technique, and form. With Coach Kevin’s guidance, her child’s progress accelerated dramatically, and she is now one of Kauai’s top gymnasts for her age and level. Coach Christina is USAG-certified in both competitive and recreational coaching.
