This workshop will teach a variety of clay sculpture techniques. Clay is a wonderful sculpture material that can capture any texture, mimic flesh and other materials. Demonstrations will include: hollow built sculpture using pinch, coil, slab techniques, and solid building methods, along with techniques for making a variety of textures. Students will build a few different small sculptures to learn each technique. Subjects can be figurative, animal, or abstract, bring all of your ideas! This introductory workshop is great for beginners in clay, and anyone looking to explore sculptural projects. All materials will be included.
