$20 for members, non members can come and try and if want to continue must become a member. Come and play with clay.
Clay is provided. Also tools, although feel free to bring anything of your own that might be a favourite.
We are using earthenware clay at the moment, - usually you get a choice of terracotta and white/grey, which we fire to 900 degrees after a couple of weeks of drying (or until we have a kiln full, which doesn't take long because we have a small kiln.
You can glaze your work in a subsequent session after it is bisque fired. We are building up a selection of glazes. The first firing is free, the second firing is an extra $10 as the kiln can’t be stacked as fully.
This is a regular interest group rather than a class. There is likely to be a workshop run this year for people who want to develop skills in working with clay and from there they can join the interest group.
