In this 4-week session, students ages 10-16 will be introduced to the history of clay along with famous artists, both past and present, who work in this medium. Handbuilding techniques like coil, slab, and pinch will be introduced, and students will have an opportunity to throw on the wheel. Clay pieces will be fired in the kiln and then either painted (to take home immediately) or glazed (to be fired and picked up at a later date). We will hold a small art show on the last day for invited guests to view the work.Workshop Dates: 10/13 10/22, 11/3, 11/10
