“I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.”― Fitzgerald F. Scott, The Great Gatsby
Let's do this!! Time for the first gathering of the low commitment, re-reading (or first time reading) the classics book club.
For our first book, I've selected the Great Gatsby. It's a fairly short, yet powerful, read - perfect for the busy holiday time. The premise is simple ... grab a copy from your local library or bookstore, a friend, your kid's summer reading list (or a friend's kid's reading list), give it a read, then come to the backroom at Parkway Brewing Company, Monday, December 2nd at 6pm for a lively discussion. That's it - you, your book, and your thoughts.
During the first session, we will decide on our next read, date, and location. I'd love to chat about rotating group discussion leaders as well.
ALL are welcome - men, women, young, old, long time book lovers, those new to reading, does not matter! The goal is community, reading good books, brain stimulation, and lively discussion.
Please do not hesitate to text or DM with any questions, thoughts or suggestions.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
