Save the date, and be sure to join us for “Classically Jazzed” on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 7:30PM at the historic Macon City Auditorium as Macon Pops fuses the elegance of classical music with the energy and spontaneity of jazz in an evening that’s anything but traditional.At the center of the program is Three Shades of Blue, a groundbreaking concerto for violin, jazz trio, and orchestra, composed by Macon Pops’ Artistic Director and Conductor, Matt Catingub. This dynamic piece seamlessly blends classical, jazz, and Latin influences into a fresh and electrifying musical experience.
Commissioned by Amy Schwartz-Moretti and Steve Moretti, Three Shades of Blue premiered with Macon Pops ten years ago, marking a pivotal moment in the organization’s founding story. Since then, it has dazzled audiences across North America and Japan.
Now, a decade later, we’re proud to bring it home in celebration of its 10th anniversary—and of the creative vision it inspired. Don’t miss this unforgettable night of innovation, imagination, and impeccable music-making.
