The new CLASSICAdaMercato event awaits you at Villa Pini for a musical afternoon in the company of the Resonanz Trio with a performance for clarinet, bassoon and piano.

This chamber programme explores a fascinating blend of sonorities and instrumental dialogues, spanning different eras and styles, from Romanticism to 20th century modernity.
It begins with Felix Mendelssohn's Konzertstück No. 2, a brilliant and virtuosic composition characterised by a sophisticated dialogue between woodwind instruments and piano. This is then followed by the Sonata for Clarinet and Piano op. 167 by Camille Saint-Saëns, whose Allegretto expresses both lightness and lyricism, while the Sonata for Bassoon and Piano op. 168 by the same composer alternates elegance and vivacity with the movements Allegro moderato and Allegro scherzando.
The contemporary element is represented by Botteghe Oscvre by L. Chessa, a work that evokes night-time atmospheres.
In the second half, the chamber music sonority is enriched with Francis Poulenc's Sonata for Clarinet and Bassoon FP 32a, featuring the French composer's typical style: ironic, lyrical and melancholic at the same time.
The programme concludes with Michail Glinka's Trio Pathétique, a piece of great expressiveness and melodic momentum, which synthesises Romantic influence and instrumental virtuosity.
