Get ready to celebrate one of Italy’s most beloved treasures: pasta! This month, we’re launching our first-ever line of Eataly pasta. Made with 100% heirloom Italian wheat and mountain spring water, our pasta is bronze-dye extruded for an ideal textured surface. From Bucatini to Rigatoni, each shape is slow-dried to perfectly preserve the authentic flavors of Italy.
A good pasta needs just a little sauce. The secret of cooking a great dish of pasta at home is the right ingredients and preparing them properly. Too much sauce ruins the dish and makes it heavier. To make great, yet simple sauces take only about three ingredients. In this Classic Italian Sauces 101 cooking demonstration, discover the ingredients and techniques with the Chef of La Scuola as they take you step by step in preparing classic Italian sauces we all know and love for pasta so you can recreate them at home yourself!
In this cooking demonstration, guests will learn about classic Italian sauces and how they are paired to particular pasta shapes using the new Eataly dry pasta. Guests will explore the key ingredients to prepare a pasta sauce from scratch and will take home the adapted recipes for the pasta sauces created in class.

• This is a cooking demonstration, not a hands-on class.
• During class, guests receive a glass of prosecco, an antipasti plate, 3 pasta dish samples featuring Pesto Genovese, Arrabbiata and Carbonara and a glass of wine. N/A beverages are available in place of prosecco/wine if requested.
• Guests receive a complimentary box of the Eataly brand dry pasta and adapted sauce recipes.
• All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
• Pricing is subject to Chicago sales tax.
