Introduction and post-show Q&A with film historian John Martello!Some Like It Hot marked the first pairing of director Billy Wilder and actor Jack Lemmon. They had such a great time working together that Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond worked on a script for Lemmon which resulted in this light satire of corporate life circa 1959 that turned out to be one of the most popular and critically acclaimed movies of both of their careers. This year is the 100th anniversary of Jack Lemmon's birth. This film is one of his finest performances and he is matched by a terrific cast.
