Based on a true story.Divine G, an inmate at Sing Sing prison, runs a theatre group as part of a Rehabilitation Through the Arts (RTA) programme. Incarcerated for a crime he didn’t commit, Divine and his fellow RTA members escape the reality of prison life by putting on plays. When a wary outsider joins the group, the men decide to stage their first original comedy.
