History Geo is an online tool which will help you find and map your ancestor's homestead and access associated documents. The software also provides access to antique maps and allows users to plot out the migration routes of their families. In this class Jeanne Hoadley will help you understand all the features available in the software with many examples to demonstrate how the tools can be used.Instructor Jeanne Hoadley has been a member of the Rogue Valley Genealogical Society since 2017 and a volunteer librarian since 2019. She also serves as map cataloger and leads the Colonial America Interest Group. Jeanne has been interested in Genealogy most of her life having been drawn in by a great aunt who did things the “old” slow way, researching in cemeteries, county courthouses and the attics of her cousins. Jeanne holds a master’s degree in Geography from the University of Denver and is retired from a career in Meteorology and Air Quality Management. She has completed the Genealogical Principles Course offered by Boston University as well as many online courses offered by American Ancestors, and Family Tree University among others.
