Officially announcing the MDHS Class of 1979 45-Year Reunion!Hello MDHS 1979 Classmates:
Where have the years gone? So much has happened since we last got together. As the years pass quickly by, I become more and more grateful for the time spent celebrating the important milestones in my life with the friends who have traveled the journey with me. With that in mind, I am happy to be able to officially announce that the MDHS Class of 1979 will be celebrating our 45th Reunion weekend
November 1-3 and would like to take this time to invite you to attend. Here’s what we have planned!
The MDHS Homecoming Game is scheduled for Friday, November 1, at the Santa Ana Bowl. We are working to secure alumni tickets for the game, and space for our classmates to meet up for pre-game festivities. Barbara Winter Martin will be taking the lead on this fun event. The class Reunion will be at the Historic Balboa Pavilion on Saturday, November 2. Doors open at 6:00 pm, just in time for a beautiful sunset on Newport Bay. The evening will include dinner, dancing, and all sorts of fun! Registration for the reunion is now open at www.materdei.org\1979. Tickets are just $79 per person, and the first 100 registrations include a FREE premium drink ticket, good for a “cocktail or mocktail” of your choice.
Our Alumni Mass will be Sunday morning, November 3, at the MDHS Chapel. The morning will include Mass and campus tours. Just as in previous years, we are making every effort to keep the ticket price affordable for all. To offset some of our costs, there are sponsorship packages available, and we are also offering confidential scholarships to anyone who needs assistance with their ticket.
