June 25 & 26 (2 days, 8 total hours of instruction)

AAC Print Studio

$115/135 + $30 mat. fee

This 2-day workshop dives into the popular and fun printmaking technique of printing with linoleum blocks. Learn to create your own linoleum printed textiles and T-shirts. Students will create vibrant prints on fabric while exploring their own style and applying this popular method to their own imagery. Learn block printing techniques. No prior experience with printmaking is necessary.  We’ll cover the steps to design, carve, and print linoleum blocks onto cotton fabrics with colored inks.  Both hand printing methods and a printing press will be used to create your own unique art patterns and graphics.  All students are encouraged to bring in plain, solid color, cotton fabrics to print on. Light and medium colors will work best.  Some items to consider are T-shirts, scarves, dish towels, tote bags, pillowcases, curtains, and more.

The class will be limited to 12 students to allow for more personal instruction.

MATERIALS: A materials fee of $30 is to be paid to the instructors on the first day of class. Ink and most studio materials will be provided. Students are responsible for textiles and T-shirts. The instructor will discuss materials with the class during the first meeting.

Immediately after you register, look for a confirmation email and receipt from Eventbrite. In the week preceding the class start date, you will receive another email with more details.
