Open yourself to discovering a way of painting where everything is allowed and nothing is mandatory. Allow yourself the freedom to follow your instincts with color, line, form, and composition in your own spontaneous way. We will work on exercises and techniques to give you a place to start abstract compositions, with an emphasis on the joy of discovery and having fun along the way. We will do studies from some of the master abstract artists, such as Joan Mitchell, Hilma af Klint, Lee Krasner, Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, and Jackson Pollock, and learn about these important artists and how much they added to the world of art. You can follow along with the planned exercises or choose to work independently and receive individual instruction, and you can work on paintings as large or as small as you like.

Serious beginners with some painting experience and seasoned painters are very welcome. Come experience the pure joy of playing with your own creativity and realize that you are capable of producing exciting, unique abstract art.
