About this Event
Join us for an evening with artist, author, and fantasist Clare Crespo to celebrate the release of her new book, "Oralee: A Field Guide to a Young Human Who Learns to Glow in the Dark." In the PRS Library!
ABOUT THE BOOK
Oralee is an original fairy tale stitched together with words, paintbrushes, and pencils. It is a story about a girl who learns how to live her life in a unique way. Told through colorful illustration full of imagination and enchanting imagery, Oralee will show its readers how to transform human life, find nature, and feel understood at any age.
The tale is a tender offering from the heart of Clare Crespo, an artist, author, and fantasist. She has written two books on food, Hey There, Cupcake! and The Secret Life of Food, as well as a very popular hand-drawn calendar, Hurray Today. She has also written, produced, and starred in The Yummyfun Kooking Series, a wild children’s show, and has created numerous installations, large-scale dioramas, and sculptures for both public and private spaces.
Clare will be in conversation with director Mike MIlls.
Ticket price: $12 (in-person event only)
