About this Event
The truly sensational Clara Pople embarks on her first UK headline tour. Find her playing at a show near you where she will celebrate the release of her recent EP 'Hot Moon' and her upcoming singles. Support from Scarsdale Fats, Ideal Husband and more TBA.
Avant-pop artist Clara Pople is the Cumbrian born soul/trip-hop looping sensation, seamlessly blending the atmospheric essence of London Grammar and Massive Attack with the soulful intensity of Jorja Smith. Momentum for Clara is at an all time high following her sold-out headline show at St Pancras Old Church to celebrate the release of her title track EP ‘Hot Moon’. The gig recieved 5* reviews all round and here she performed with a full band, which will now become the norm, as well as live strings and sax appearences. The title track has already captured significant attention from the likes of F-Word, LOCK, Record of the Day, Renowned for Sound, Alfitude, CLASH magazine & BBC Intro London.
Residing on her houseboat in Southeast London, Clara holds monthly sold-out candlelit gigs (famously known as Boat Gig) creating an intimate and unforgettable experience that cements her deep connection with fans and emerging artists alike.
What makes Clara unique? Her sharp tongue, her incessant need to overshare but most importantly, her voice which she uses as both her instrument and her accompaniment. With it she loops; fat bopping bass lines, beatboxing rhythms and spine tingling/gospel choir conjuring 6-part harmonies; rich with emotion her music invites listeners into her world as she navigates life as a woman, exploring love and the trials of her 20s.
