CLAP for Peace welcomes you to ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, and interactive fundraising event aimed at bringing awareness to end violence
‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ will be an all day fundraising event that will start at 12pm and end at 10pm at Persona in DUMBO, Brooklyn. A day full of interactive events there will be various experiential, musical and theatrical performances from supporters, as well as the partners, contributors, and founders of CLAP for Peace foundation.
CLAP for Peace is a foundation formed of leaders who stand for a world that is Compassionate, Loving, United, and Peaceful. Bringing awareness to stop violence to any ‘outdated’ group such as race, gender, sexuality, nation, or age NOW. Violence does not discriminate and our foundation stands to empower and support survivors. Believing that every person is born Whole, Perfect, & Complete deserving of the freedom to live their life to the fullest capacity as possible.
Our goal is to raise $20,000
90% of funds will be donated to the Human Rights Watch organization that investigates and reports on abuse that occurs all over the world in every corner. A 550+ person organization of country experts, lawyers, journalists, and those who want to protect the most vulnerable populations. Such as Human Rights, Crisis and Conflict, Free Speece, Refugees and Migrants, Elder population rights, LGBTQ+ rights, Women’s Rights and so much more. The Human Rights Watch advocates towards governments, armed groups, and businesses to push them to change or enforce their laws, policies, and practices. This organization partners with various sized organizations all over the world and to ensure their independence as an organization they refuse government funding and world to hold abusers accountable and bring justice to victims.
And the remaining 10% of funds will be used to help establish CLAP for Peace as a non-profit that will also support victims of violence providing Support, Education, and Connection. Providing future services such as free therapy to victims, assistance with housing, seminars, etc.
CLAP for Peace aims to become a foundation that will create a legacy of leaders that will cause a ripple effect in the world to end violence and with your help we can make this dream a reality.
