GOING THROUGH A STAGE.
“GOING THROUGH A STAGE - PHIL SCOTT AND BLAKE BOWDEN
Two old gay friends – one much older if not gayer than the other, and both with years in
‘the biz’ – bring you a show from the relaxed, casual end of professional cabaret.
Blake Bowden (The Book of Mormon, Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific) and Phil
Scott (The Wharf Revue, 30 Something, Reviewing the Situation) consider the Musical
Theatre scene today, and all the roles that have opened up to them through non-
traditional casting.
In between telling backstage stories, and nailing songs that were hits and misses, Phil
and Blake also tell a love story: love for this tricky old business, love for their audience,
and a love of working together.
Going Through a Stage is like wandering over to the piano at a celebrity showbiz party,
cocktail in hand, where a leading man with stunning vocals, and a dazzling pianist, have
teamed up to provide entertainment for their friends.
