About this Event
This is an invitation for the participants to have a space to write and draw an object, shape or words that empowers them and makes them feel nourished and energised. Essentially it is a drawing and colouring workshop where tote bags are the base. Participants can think of a word, shape, phrase or picture of something they like and base their art on it.
What to expect?
The attendees will each be given one tote bag, along with drawing and colouring materials to use. The objective is to claim the radiance that is already in you by writing a word / phrase and turning that into an art piece. We will think of things that bring us joy, energy, phrases we feel drawn to. There will be drawing prompts and stencils of different shapes to help start off. You will also learn to create stylised letters and alphabets using patterns to write your word on your tote bag.
Who is it for?
The workshop is for anyone who enjoys drawing, colouring and creating. There will be support and guidance available for every step if you need. No prior experience is required for you to join this workshop, come as you are.
All of our workshops are open to CSA survivors, friends and allies, aged 18+
