Ekiti Sound
https://soundcloud.com/ekitisound
Ekiti Sound is the moniker of Leke Awoyinka, a record producer and DJ who has shared his time between Nigeria and the UK since childhood. With his music, Ekiti Sound pays obeisance to indigenous Nigerian sounds and pairs them with elements from Electronic music and Hip-Hop. On his sophomore album ‘Drum Money,’ these influences of Africa and the diaspora come alive as Ekiti Sound finds a balance in curating sounds that merge his individuality with diverse cultures.
Ekiti Sound is a cornerstone in the exciting emerging underground electronic scene in Nigeria. The explosion in underground parties during the pandemic has led to a new youth culture and sound that is not Afrobeats or Alte. In Feb 2023 Ekiti Sound launched Nigeria premier FM terrestrial specialist electronic music show on Hot FM 93.3 Lagos.

Hrdvsion, pronounced “hard vision”, and sometimes known as Nathan Jonson, is a Canadian composer dedicated to electronic music with an experimental streak.
Having explored everything from beatless, ambient tracks to rugged club cuts or pop bootlegs - with minimal new ground to break. The need to challenge the norm has eased and the boundlessly experimental streak has become more focused. Their impressive discography, spread across labels such as Wagon Repair, 20:20 Vision, Rinse and International Deejay Gigolo, hints at a producer who has valued diversity above all, with records that have been long turned to by DJs right across the board, always guaranteeing them a striking and unusual sound.

Inspired by the Black and Queer Djs before him, he takes the genres of House, Drum n Bass, hip-hop and Dub-Step and laces them with messages of equity, freedom, and a good time.
