Our August 16 meeting will focus on preparing for our 3rd annual bonsai exhibit at Michler greenhouses in Lexington. This will be from Sep 19-22, 2025.Please bring trees that you would like show-prep help with. We will have posters and rack cards for you to distribute to promote this signature club event.

Review our standard display guidelines for trees
Limit this year: 36 trees - 20 larger trees, 16 smaller trees
Request help for display area set up Thursday Sep 18 - see Tim Weckman
Tree photo submissions due by September 3; reviewed by panel; notified by September 10 - Matt Clemmer
Sign up for show: we need docents, greeters, monitors - Matt Clemmer
Workshops: volunteers needed to assist with workshops- see Tim Weckman
Sat am - Japanese Garden Juniper n=8 students
Sat pm - Golden Gate Ficus + ceramic container n=8 students
Sun pm - shohin Shimpaku Juniper n=6 students
Examples of trees to be used and workshop prices and sign-up sheets will be at the meeting
Open to the membership- Questions, clarification, comments?
Balance of meeting will be tree prep for the exhibit
11:45-12:00 help clean up the facility-adjourn
