Joe Kaptein GroupJoe Kaptein recently graduated from the UoA jazz school with honours, and has had the privilege of working with many notable local pop and jazz artists and is excited to present a set of new original compositions mixed with a few obscure covers.
Particularly influenced by the sonically adventurous mid-70s era of celestial jazz-funk of the likes of Donald Byrd and Ramsey Lewis, as well as lounge lizards such as Burt Bacharach, Joe presents a fresh and captivating original sound, with the able support of the band, to a local audience.
