About this Event
Join Manhattan Community Board 11 and CIVITAS for a FREE community bike ride.We'll ride at a relaxed, family-friendly. You will cycle alongside experienced ride leaders on a route showcasing public safety and health resources in El Barrio/East Harlem. The ride is open to riders ages 16+ (riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).Free Citi Bikes will be provided thanks to our partnership with Citi Bike, and we can offer a limited number of free helmets. In order to reserve a bike and helmet, please email [email protected] leaders will review how to wear your helmet and explain the rules of the road for cyclists. Note, this is not a Learn to Ride Class.***If you bring your own bike, it must be in good working order.***Participants must have solid bike-handling skills and a high level of comfort riding on streets with traffic. This is not a Learn to Ride Class.***All participants must wear helmets. No helmet? You can not participate on the ride.
