Bill Hoskins, Director of Siouxland Heritage Museums & Civil War Historian, will conduct a walking tour in the Hartford Cemetery, 6:00 pm, including the stories of some of the 28 Civil War Veterans buried there. Hartford was very much a Civil War Veteran Homesteader Village. It was Oaksville first after Veteran Elihue Oaks. Free and open to the public. Event co-ordinated by Downtown Hartford, Inc. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, during the DHI Downtown Market Event, 5-8pm.
