Civil Service return to 33 Oldham St for their first Manchester headline show in a year.Having played to a packed and appreciative audience at last years Akari festival, then subsequently released sophomore album Dark///, the band continue to grow into regulars on the UK Post Rock scene.
This show marks the first of a series of performances in 2026, which celebrate the band's 10th year of shows and releases; so expect songs from throughout the Civil Service back catalogue!
Joining the hometown boys are 601, from Yorkshire & Manchester. 601 started life as an experimental bass music project, featuring ear-worm inducing breaks - and has evolved through a series of collaborations with the Post Rock and Post Metal scene to establish a foothold in the scene.
601 DJ'd at last years Akari festival at 33 Oldham St, but return for their first full band live debut. Featuring the core 601 members Nat and George, they will be joined by musicians with significant pedigree within the scene, including members of (promoters) Servants///Serpents favs, Din of Celestial Birds.
We can't wait to hear how the new unit bring tracks from 2025's We Are Not the Same - plus much more, we're sure - to new life as a fully fledged band!
A Friday night show in Manchester; one for the diaries!
