About this Event
Award-winning journalist Kitty Felde used to explain government to grownups on public radio. Now she explains it to kids in a series of mystery novels and podcasts set on Capitol Hill: the Fina Mendoza Mysteries. In an interactive program, the former Washington bureau chief for KPCC (LAist) will explore how the US government is supposed to workβ¦and how a mysterious bird pooped on the president during the State of the Union speech. Children will have the opportunity to learn how their voices can be heard in Washington by writing postcards to their member of Congress. Adults welcome.
