2025 Citywide Pride Interfaith ServiceJoin us at the 7th Annual Citywide Pride Interfaith Service! Presented by Affirming Connections and Calgary’s Network of Affirming Faith Communities.
When: Sunday, August 24, 7pm MT
Where: Livestreamed and in person at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 10620 Elbow Dr SW, Calgary, AB
What: This event celebrates the beautiful intersection of faith and 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, affirming and celebrating that you can be all parts of who you are.
Our 2025 theme is Stitched Together: A Patchwork of Pride. This celebrates our individual and collective beauty, and the wonderful things that happen when we bring all of our own unique threads (or selves) together. Stories and music will be woven throughout the service, as we evoke a tactile, artistic image of Pride stitched together and only possible through community participation.
Come join us in person in Calgary or online through our live stream!
Refreshments provided post-service in person.
Start times:
6pm PT / 7pm MT / 8pm CT / 9pm ET / 10pm AT / 10:30pm NT
Our organizers are based in Southern Alberta, and acknowledge the lands that we inhabit known as Mohkínstsis, Wîchispa-Oyade, Guts’ists’I, Otôskwanihk (ᐅᑑᐢᑿᓂᕽ), or Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on Turtle Island. We honour and value the culture, spirituality, and traditions of the first peoples of Treaty 7; and acknowledge the ancestral stewards of the land, and our shared stewardship as treaty people: the Niitsitapi (the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations); the Îyârhe Nakoda of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations; and the Dene of the Tsuut’ina First Nation. Southern Alberta is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Calgary Elbow District.
