Recyke-a-bike is offering a 3-day City & Guilds Level 1 course that will take place over three weeks, on Saturday 25th January, Saturday 1st February, and Saturday 8th February. Each session will run from 9:30 - 16:30, and attendance at all three sessions is necessary to obtain your certification.
This private course is perfect for individuals looking to gain essential bike maintenance skills, covering areas such as safety checks, repairing punctures, and adjusting brakes and gears with our experienced, qualified mechanic guiding you through the course content. With a limited class size of 6 participants (and a minimum of 3), attendees can expect a hands-on, focused learning experience. This private course offers an excellent opportunity for both hobbyists and those seeking to enhance their employability in the cycling industry. Upon successful completetion of the course you will recieve the City&Guilds Level 1 certificate. Participants must be at least 16 years old.
The course includes:
- Remove, refit and adjust a rim brake assembly.
- Remove, refit and adjust front and rear derailleur gear system.
- Repair a puncture - including correctly removing and refitting a wheel, tyre and inner tube.
- Carry out a systematic cycle check and rectify faults.
