City Wide Fall Clean-Up, B.O.P.A., and Shred Event
Copperas Cove, Texas – The Copperas Cove Solid Waste Department will host the annual City-Wide Fall Clean-Up, B.O.P.A. (Batteries, Oil, Paint, Antifreeze), and Shred event on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 8am to 12pm. During this event, Copperas Cove residents and business owners will be granted two FREE pick-up truck load visits per utility account to Solid Waste, located at 2605 S FM 116, to dispose of household trash and waste. Participants will be required to show current proof of residency.
Items that will be accepted are basic household trash and junk, brush and yard waste, appliances, recycling, cooking oil, and B.O.P.A. (Batteries, Oil, Paint, Antifreeze). Tires will be accepted, but a fee for each tire will be collected on the day of disposal. Construction debris and other various household hazardous waste items will NOT be accepted during this event. This year’s event will also feature Central Texas Shredding Secure Data Destruction, providing citizens the opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive materials. Accepted items include paper, hard drives, thumb drives, and cell phones (with batteries removed). Paperclips, staples, and rubber bands do not need to be removed, but binders must be taken off before shredding. Participants should limit their shredding to only personal items, not exceeding four banker sized boxes or five grocery sized bags per vehicle.
