About this Event

The City is made up of stories. We each have a unique voice that sets us apart. Stories link us to where we come from, and help dream up where we’re going. Creative Writing can open up the space for you to tell what’s in your heart. In this unique drop-in workshop, come explore storytelling and poetry in a fun and accessible way.  Create and develop your own unique voice and style through specific writing exercises and prompts. We’ll write in class and share our work aloud. This is a safe space for all community members, so join us and express your feelings, turning them into art. Let your voice be heard.

This event is in-person at CounterPulse!

Our goal in facilitating these workshops is to bring already existing stories to the forefront and to empower individuals in the community by giving them a space to speak and write down their truth, preserving the diverse heritage of San Francisco.
