Lavender & Lefty and other music acts will be part ofthe FREE FAMILY FUN from 10 am-2:30 pm as the city of Nanaimo celebrates both Family Day and the 50th Anniversary of Beban Park. A day with an anniversary celebration with live entertainment from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm , but first at 10 am dignitaries and cake and then have a variety of family-friendly activities, including story time, bouncy castles, a photo booth, arts & crafts, face painting, a Storywalk®, and ways to connect with community organizations found throughout Beban Park.

Vancouver Island singer-songwriters Linda Lavender and Kenny Brault will surprise you with reinventions of anything from Oh Susannah to Smoke on the Water. Sprinkled in are their Hybrid-Original compositions telling stories about robberies and road trips, jailbreaks and heartaches, your best dog, and your worst date. Multi-instrumentalists armed with an array of guitar, upright bass, mandolin, clawhammer banjo, voices, and words! Canadian content in the 4 official languages, all in the key of “EH.”
