The City of Dothan is excited to invite the community to kick off the holiday season at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 5:30 PM. This year’s celebration will take place at the brand-new Porter Park & Events Plaza, located in the heart of Downtown Dothan.A cherished Dothan tradition, the Christmas Tree Lighting brings families and friends together to celebrate the magic of the season. Guests can enjoy a festive evening filled with holiday cheer, including special performances by the Dothan High School Show Choir and Patti Rutland Jazz, the sparkle of fresh “snow” in the plaza, and delicious hot chocolate.
The highlight of the evening will be a grand entrance by Santa Claus, arriving in style on a Dothan Fire Department fire truck! After lighting the City’s Christmas tree, Santa will be available for photos with children and families.
Families are encouraged to bring their holiday spirit and join the City of Dothan for this free, family-friendly event.
