The City of Battle Creek and Republic Services will hold this year's curbside fall cleanup Monday, Sept. 8 - Friday, Sept. 12!*This cleanup opportunity is only open to neighbors within Battle Creek city limits.*
All fall cleanup materials should be bagged and placed neatly at the curb for collection on neighbors’ regular trash pick-up day, during the fall cleanup week.

✅ Accepted Fall Cleanup Items:* Household doors and windows; household furnishings and furniture (desks, side tables, chairs); mattresses and box springs (must be wrapped in plastic); carpeting or brush (bundles should be cut to no more than four feet in length and a foot in diameter); toys; miscellaneous rubbish/junk; packaging; broken glass (must be placed in plastic trash container for safety.)
*Items must be placed at the curb and not in the street. No trailers. Please make sure there are no loose small items that can blow away. If you can bag it, please do so.

❌ NOT Accepted Fall Cleanup Items:** Appliances containing Freon (refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers); electronics (computers, printers, monitors, and accessories); televisions; tires, auto parts, or engines; oil, gasoline, or antifreeze; batteries; fluorescent light bulbs; chemicals, paints, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, or other household hazardous waste; concrete; shingles; iron, steel, or cast iron bathtubs; stumps; medical waste.
**These items that are not accepted during fall cleanup should be disposed of properly through our other recycling events and opportunities.
