The annual City of Austin Career Expo will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Palmer Events Center, located at 900 Barton Springs Road.
The Career Expo provides an excellent venue for companies to find talent to fill open positions. The goal is to showcase employment opportunities in our community for both active and passive job seekers. Last year, over 100 businesses, organizations, and City of Austin departments participated. Support from Austin businesses help make this event successful each year.
Job seekers of all ages, backgrounds (including justice-involved individuals, veterans, and people with disabilities), and levels of experience are welcome! We encourage you to dress for success and bring any supplemental documentation you think may help in your job search. To improve your chances of landing a job, take advantage of our showcase sessions, and don't forget to visit our complimentary professional headshot station, which is available to event attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year’s event will also include an On-the-Spot Hiring pilot initiative to fill vacant City of Austin entry level positions. This features an onsite interview opportunity for entry-level positions across various City of Austin departments during the career expo, where hiring decisions may be made, and job offers extended on the same day.
