The Allen Community Jazz Band will feature patriotic and enjoyable Big Band selections as part of their presentation at Veterans Day activities sponsored by the Allen Public Library at the “Church” in Heritage Park.
The program begins with the National Anthem followed by American Patrol and God Bless the USA featuring John Roberts on Alto Sax. Other soloists include Kevin Purcell and Stephine Waterman on trumpet, Bob Burnham on Trombone,
and Jim Wilson on Tenor Sax.
As part of the program the Band will perform their arrangement of Armed Services Medley, highlighting the songs of each branch of the service. Veterans of each branch will be asked to stand as their song is played. The Band part of the Program will close with Battle Hymn of the Republic.
