City Nature Challenge - Mason Mill Bioblitz

Participate in Community Science at the park! We'll walk the trails recording as many species of plants, animals, and fungi as possible.
About this Event

What is a Bioblitz? This event focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible within Mason Mill Park. We will record our observations in iNaturalist, a platform used by scientists for research studies. Our Bioblitz is during the 2025 City Nature Challenge, so our observations will also help boost Atlanta's standing in this friendly international competition.

Bring your smartphone and download the free iNaturalist app in advance.

We will walk around a mile. Wear appropriate footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a refillable water bottle, and hiking sticks if you need them. Meet at the South Peachtree Creek trailhead near the Mason Mill Tennis Center (McConnell Dr & Mason Mill Rd).
