About this Event
In this event, City Lens: Perspectives of a City – Exploring Architecture Through Photography, participants will experience a dynamic blend of a lecture and a guided photo walk. Led by licensed architect and AIA Photographer of the Year recipient, Zalmy Meyer, the event begins with an exhibition of my work, where I’ll share insights into architectural photography, gear, and techniques. We’ll then take to the streets, capturing Miami’s rich architectural landscape while receiving hands-on guidance and tips, connecting the city’s built environment to its culture, history, and energy through the lens.
This experience goes beyond photography—it’s about seeing architecture through an architect’s lens. As both a licensed architect and AIA Photographer of the Year recipient, I’ll share how photography influences my design process and how understanding light, composition, and perspective can enhance both creative and technical thinking. Whether you're an experienced photographer or just starting out, this event is designed to be engaging and hands-on, with real-time guidance as we explore Miami’s rich architectural landscape. Participants will walk away with new insights into both photography and the built environment, deepening their connection to the city’s cultural and architectural identity.
If your plans change and you’re unable to attend, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so another guest can enjoy the experience.
