CITY CLEAN UP DAY RETURNS FOR 2025It’s a great time for spring cleaning, as the 14th City Clean Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 from 10am to 3pm.
Residents of Coos Bay and North Bend can donate at least 4 items of food or $4 for the South Coast Food Share and then drop off up to 4 cans (35 gallon size) of household garbage. Recyclables are welcome, but no tires, appliances, furniture, metal, or hazardous materials will be accepted. Garbage drop-off is limited to residents of Coos Bay and North Bend.
Drop-off locations are:
S. 4th Street Parking Lot (between Anderson & Curtis, Coos Bay),
Eastside Fire Station (365 D Street, Coos Bay),
Empire Parking Lot (S. Wall & Newmark, Coos Bay), and
Pony Village Mall (by Mini Pet Mart, North Bend).

Cash donations will be accepted in addition to canned food. South Coast Food Share can buy three meals, or almost four pounds of food, for every dollar donated, so giving cash makes donations even more effective. For food donations, the most-needed foods are protein, especially non-meat protein and tuna, and ready-to-eat canned meals such as soup, stew and chili.
This event is a partnership with Oregon Bay Area Beautification (OBAB), South Coast Food Share, Les’ Sanitary Service, Coos Bay Sanitary, the City of Coos Bay, and the City of North Bend. This event was last held in 2019; the 2020 event was postponed due to Covid and never re-started, but now it's time to bring it back.
